EXPORT COMPLIANCE ADMINISTRATOR

The Company:  Our client is the global leader in its field supplying both commercial and military customers with their product for use in border protection, surveillance, navigation, and information gathering. 
 
Location:  Portland, OR

Reports To:  Director of Global Trade Compliance

Job Summary:  Join a great team at a growing organization to manage an export (ITAR and EAR) compliance program with an emphasis on developing a strong training program and enhancing policies and procedures

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

As part of the trade compliance team create, enhance and implement written export compliance policies and procedures in accordance with government export laws & regulations
Create, manage and communicate corporate trade compliance training program for all employees at all divisions, suppliers, and other associates both domestically and overseas including sales and engineering personnel
Ensure compliance with ITAR and EAR trade compliance regulations
Act as one of the company’s Empowered Officials
Develop relationship with government officials managing federal export compliance
Develop and manage internal tracking systems
Recommend and initiate voluntary disclosures as appropriate
Advise management on the impact on changes and updates to trade compliance laws and regulations

Qualifications Required:

• Experience building and managing a trade compliance training program
• Ability to communicate with internal and external associates domestically and  internationally
• Experience developing an export compliance program including ITAR and EAR
• Bachelors Degree

• Ability to travel internationally
• Familiarity with SAP and export licensing software desired
